In Utero Babies Feel Pain Intensely!
Dr. Jean Wright, a professor at the Mercer School of Medicine who specializes in the care of critically ill newborns and children.
Dr. Wright reported that children feel pain most intensely in utero! (More Info)
She explained that the highest density of pain receptors per square inch of skin in human development occurs in utero at 20 to 30 weeks of gestation. This is a time when the skin is very thin and nerve fibers are close to the surface of the skin, making them very exposed.
Children at this stage of gestation haven't yet developed the natural ability to inhibit painso not only do they feel it more intensely, they canšt naturally dull the pain the way older infants and adults can!
As technological advances increase our understanding of what children in the womb experience, our moral imperative to protect the lives of the unborn becomes an even greater responsibility!
If you are honestly thinking about abortion, will you at least consider what you will be putting your own baby through in the process?
